New Charades Ideas Category: For Kids

March 1st, 2007

I added a new category and put in about 100 charades phrases for kids. I’m hoping to build this list to about 1000 phrases in the coming week. After I get a larger amount in there, I’ll break it into smaller categories.

Things are Rolling

February 22nd, 2007

Due to some links on digg and wikipedia, traffic has steadily been rising. Which is great to see, as I didn’t think that many people would be using this site.

So thanks to whoever put us up on Wikipedia and on digg.

Anyway, in just the past 7 days, more than 2200 cards have been printed, and over 1000 cards have been generated just playing via the web!

Since I’m seeing that people are using it, I’m going to start adding in a few more features, so please let me know if you have any suggestions. Suggest!
Thanks again!

The site is already being used.

February 11th, 2007

Launched!

January 28th, 2007

I launched the site as it stands today. There is still much to be done though. But it’s in a usable state so I wanted to get it live so I can start receiving feedback. So please, let me know what you think!

Major Progess

January 21st, 2007

Had my first major day to hammer out the site and have made significant gains. I’m amazed at how much data I was able to put together from just a few hours Googling, and searching/replacing to clean up the values. (more…)

Construction Started!

The Beginning

Started building the Charades Ideas site today.

The idea for the site came when I was playing Pop5 Cranium with some friends (great game for the record!). We finished a game and decided to play some charades instead so we didn’t use all of the cards that came with the game right away. The problem we immediately ran into was that there was no good way to generate all the words and phrases to use in the game. We ended up with just having everyone write some things down on paper and putting them in a hat, but since we had a fairly small group, you very often got yours, which wasn’t a whole lot of fun since you already knew the answer.
